Whirlwinds... seriously.

Hello friends!

This week is finally Spring Break. I have been very busy, obviously, with all my classes. This semester is WAY more intense than last semester, but I am learning so much. I do have to say, THANK GOD for a break! I am very much looking forward to this break because my cousin, Tonie will be here and so will m mom! I can't wait to see both of them. It's so nice to finally have someone coming here, on purpose, to see me. I need the company. I also need to get the hell out of my "apartment" because it's driving me crazy.

Anyway, I have had a ton of homework scheduled for me this week. Gotta love teachers that fill your "break" with work that's due to be printed and turned in the day after break even though every building on campus is closed... including the printing labs. So great.

Lately, the weather has been taking its toll on my upbeat disposition. Basically: IT WON'T STOP RAINING! I am not doing too well without being able to see the sunshine or go outside without an umbrella, which is about to fall apart at any second. The wind here is about to either rip it to shreds or turn it inside-out. At least I will have family here to add a little sunshine to the days. I am just a bit sad for them that they get to see the city how it really is.

We have had a very eventful past few weeks in this city though. A week or so ago, as you all know, Japan got hit with that terrible earthquake and tsunami. I was awakened at 4:30 a.m. by pretty much my entire family warning me that a tsunami was on its way to San Francisco. I stayed up the rest of the morning watching videos of the horrors happening to Japan and all its people. Luckily, we only got waves that were a bit larger than normal. Yesterday, we had such crazy winds that apparently there was a water spout (water tornado) off the coast of the beach here. And now some random guy is predicting that there is going to be a huge earthquake here in the next week so as a chain reaction to what happened in Japan. I hope he's wrong.

And to end on a much lighter note, I have some good news. I have officially turned to Apple computers (don't hate). I bought a used Macbook Pro off a student in one of my classes for cheap. I also got a brand spankin' new camera! It's beautiful and takes better pictures than I could have ever imagined. I'll share some pictures of that and some I have taken with it soon. So, I can't complain too much. Everyone just pray I get a job soon... still no luck in that department. Welcome to The Depression: Round 2.

Even though I am on break, I plan on going to bed at normal times until my family arrives. So, needless to say, it's past my bedtime and goodnight! :)
