Video Chatting is my new favorite thing to do

I have discovered Skype and ooVoo. They are the best way for me to see everyone's smiling faces! I do have to be careful, though. My homework has taken the back burner the past couple of days (uhh oh). So today and tomorrow I will be working on getting caught up and a little ahead in some of my classes.

I did have a funny thing happen yesterday. My 'Photoshop for Photographers' class was going over some editing things in Photoshop and everyone has a photo with scratches and dust to clean up for homework. I had already done that image last semester, and another kid in my class had too. So our teacher had to give us both a completely different assignment from the rest of the class. I guess next week will be the same too. So I am advanced in my class so far lol. Don't worry though, I am still learning new things in it so it is worth my time and money. :)

Last night I booked my plane ticket to come home in December! My trip will be 41 days and 40 nights... just shy of being Noah. ;) I'm so excited to see everyone again. I am enjoying my time here, though. More and more everyday actually. My favorite thing to do here is walk around with my Pandora playing, headphones on, and people watch. It's the best city to do that in. There is such a crazy mix of people.

Yesterday the paint got scraped off our windows and I have my view again. It makes me happy and actually helps me study. I can't do seclusion when it comes to concentrating on something for hours at a time. I need movement and a change of scenery.

Well I have been doing homework since I got up this morning. Time to get out of the house!

Gone are the Groans from the kitchen!!

I have been trying for the past couple weeks to get Housing to check out our refrigerator. It makes THE LOUDEST noises ever and sounds like it wants to eat small children. Well today I got a wonderful picture from my roomie. A NEW FRIDGE!! We didn't even have to prove that is was almost dying. :)

Hooray!!
I have been a busy girl these past few days. Yesterday I finally got to go out with Jen and get some beer. It was a great time and I met her coworker, Kim. We all had a blast and met a few guys that were pretty cool and somehow had connections with Jen and Kim through work. It was interesting.
Thumbs up for being legal (hence the star) and having a nice drink ;)
Today I went out with my roommate and some friends to a diner in downtown. The food was kind of over-priced, but what isn't overpriced in SF? It was a great time and afterward I got some Jamba Juice (sorry mom... well... kinda sorry). Here's some pics of the place.

Some other random shots of things I think are funny :)

We look like we are all set for Christmas- fake snow and all :) Still painted in.
BEST parking job EVER
Well goodnight all! Off to watch a movie!

They're baaaaaccckkkk!

So the painter men came back today and woke me with loud, middle-eastern sounding dialogue. I have no idea what they were talking about of course, being that I don't speak their language. I could have sworn by the noises they were making that they were tap-dancing. I'm serious. You never know in this city... it could be how they make their living. Tap-dancing painters on scaffolding. Anywoo, I was talking on the phone with the old roomie, Sarah, and the men reappeared in my window. They actually painted my window and it made for some pretty cool shots. Might as well make art out of something so strange. Hope you like them!

Yesterday was a good day for me. I woke up late and got some work done. I made myself a sandwich and decided to get out and buy some warm clothes. I left all of my winter clothes in NC... smart, I know. Anyway, I got some shopping in at my favorite clothing store, Forever 21. This one is in a 3 story building!
Not my image. Got it from: www.yelp.com
After that, I went grocery shopping. When I got back home, I decided to make a box of brownies that I had picked up from the grocery store (I'm a terrible person, I already know). I also began cooking dinner. As I was cooking, all of my roommate's friends started showing up to help her do a rough-edited video for a class she has. It was a lot of fun with everyone here.

At one point I offered everyone a brownie and people flipped. It was hilarious! I finished cooking and ended up helping my roommate with controlling the camera. I had never used that kind of camera before, but I was somehow the expert. It didn't take much for me to figure it out though. I also helped with directing the actors... it was funny how it worked out. We had to walk back and forth from filming in my dorm, to one of the actresses/friend's dorm rooms (not too far from eachother). When we got back to the room from walking and climbing stairs, everyone needed water, and I got it. I also handed out some grapes. I feed people, what can I say? :) Overall it was a great time. They are all really cool people.

I did get a couple of shots on my cell of some buildings in Nob Hill when I was on my way to the grocery store.

I just thought this was funny :)
